Donna's Garden

I am so excited to see my plants growing. I started them indoors February 6th and they are all popping up except for three of them. I cannot believe how fast they grow once they pop through the soil. I will be transplanting them into the greenhouse in March. If the weather stays this cold I will need a heater in there at night. It warms up pretty good in the day.

I learned something in a gardening class last week from a master gardener. The follwoing plants you can plant outside mid-March (sooner if you have a green house) and they'll withstand cold and FROST!: lettuce, celery, spinach, swiss chard, root vegies, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and peas.
