My day off

I was inspired by Becky's blog - she made freezer jam. I decided to do the same. It was soooooo easy and it cost me $1.29 per 8 oz container. That includes everything, sugar, pectin, containers, tax and of course strawberries.
The finished product
smashed strawberries
freshly washed strawberries
In the sink with produce wash
The very beginning of the process - strawberries still in store packaging

I like the idea of freezer jam..but when you only have so much room in your freezer it doesn't work out so great. I should try it though. :)

We go through freezer jam like crazy. Such a fun project & so easy compared to other forms of canning :)
